 wow Polly!
your drawing is ..... I cannot find the right word.......... I cannot imagine myself drawing anything even 1/4 as good as you.
Is it you or spirit who draws?
And is it a guide/spirit you draw?

Hi Mia, thanks for taking a look.  Yes I draw the face which appears on the paper (hovering) its a little like tracing.  Sometimes (when I ask specifically), they will guide my hand.  I only use charcoal although I have all different mediums at hand from paint to pastels but always go back to charcoal.  I only use charcoal, an eraser and my fingers.

I do get 'spirit' coming in and quite a few guides, helpers and inspirers.  I draw what I 'see' although I have asked for someone's guide to come through to me (like the picture above).

Namaste

Polly,

You are an incredible artist!! My mother was an artist, and she always used to say the 'eyes' are the hardest thing to draw and capture. You have been blessed with a great talent. I have only done a very little bit of research on this topic, and I have seen online psychic artists who do them for various people who request let's say, a drawing of someone they loved, like a parent who has passed over. Many people pay for this service as well. I have read some of the responses to the outcomes of the drawings. Apparently, many times the psychic artist does not know anything at all about the person who they have been requisitioned by to draw psychic art for them, or will do the drawings for someone from afar, and the results are so astonishing. It seems that there is a lot to know on this particular topic. I found it so interesting that psychic artist's will get a person's favorite colors via the outsome of the art, or claim that energy is passed on from spirit guides to that individual or help to bring tranquility into that person's life. Psychic artists are also apparently able to draw certain items that may have held a significant meaning to someone, like a locket or a pendant, or end up drawing items of importance that were lost and then will present themselves in the art. I find it a fascinating field.

In your second drawing, there is something about the eyes. The eyes very much resemble Marlon Brando to me, and in the third one, the colors are outstanding and the features very pronounced. They are all simply amazing though each in their own way, and I would like to try my hand at it one of these days too. Do you need to meditate or is there any sort of grounding that is necessary prior to sitting down and drawing them? Or, is it mostly that you just feel inspired all of a sudden and know that you immediately have to begin to draw? I'd be very interested to know a bit more about this.

I apologize because I've been meaning to write this for quite a while now and let you know how sensational I think you and your artwork are, lol.. but I've been so darn busy lately. I am thankful that you have shared this with us in your gallery.  I have absorbed so much from it and have taken away a lot, and would certainly like to know more. Maybe you could teach a psychic art class,,,ha ha...lol. I would certainly be there...

Luv, Light & Blessings,

Sky      Very Nice Work ...

Thank you for answering me Polly.
You have a wonderful gift.
Does it make you feel sort of comforted, at ease, like you are at home?
I know its an odd question.
I feel you have found your true path and wondered what it feels like.
I think you are blessed ((hugs))

Mia, I dont really feel as tho I have found my true path....I believe the 'drawing' was part of my path but it isnt the end.  I truly feel there is somethng else they want me to do but hey Im patient (sort of) so I will wait and see.

Hi Sky, the drawing you mention took me 5 minutes.  I have looked at many spirit artists' work and have sent some of mine to them.  I have been told that they havent come across the way I do mine but it seems so natural to me.  Instead of just a piece of charcoal and starting to draw, I cover the paper with charcoal until it is black and then start to use my fingers.  I will post up in three stages (3 photos) the way I do it.

Yes I ground and protect then centre myself - calling on my guide to send me an inspirer to help me in the task and then go from there.  Sometimes whilst sitting meditating I 'feel' I have to draw but most of the time I give myself some quiet time in my little room before I begin.

So when you do a drawing, do you decide you want to do one, or, are you sort of pushed to do one?
Or are you asked by someone to do one?
If you are not asked, do you know who the drawing is for, and who it is?

If I am annoying you with questions, tell me to shut up.
I wont mind at all (hug)

In your words - I'm pushed lol.  I am asked to do one but can't say who is going to come through Mia.  Yes sometimes I am drawn to someone whilst drawing.

Dont be worried about asking questions.......that's what this site is all about .......if you don't ask then I wont be able to tell you. (the last thing I would do is tell you to shut up darling.)

Hi Polly,

All of your artwork is outstanding. I have to tell you though, when I first saw your creation of James, I had chills all over. I was really taken aback by your drawing of him. I had such a pleasant awesome feeling come over me. I'm sure it had nothing to do with the elated feelings I received, but my father's name was James also.

L,L&P,
Sky

So pleased to hear that you get that 'feeling' from the drawing, in fact I got a bit tingly when I had finished and then stepped back.  He is up on my wall beside my laptop lol. (when I feel a bit down I look at him)

Polly, your work is so astounding! You never cease to amaze me. The one drawing has a remarkable resemblance to John Lennon. I wonder if he was coming through to you...hum...interesting thought.

I'm looking forward to trying my hand at this very soon, since I'm so much into art myself.

I always look forward to your next creation! You always manage to capture the true spirit of the individual I believe, because it almost feels like we know the people in your drawings. Outstanding...

Luv & Light,
Sky

These are absolutely gorgeous.  What else can I say? They really have a beautiful energy around them, like you have captured the essence of the individual.. meaning their energy signiatures.  Cool.  Do you do Reiki? Or are you familiar with energy?  Because I do feel energy work involved in some way.

So Cool.. and I don't use that word... lol

Another masterpiece!! I see so much soul and wisdom in those eyes. I don't know why, but I keep feeling the Inca's from your drawing. Meaning, that this person decended from the Inca Tribe or blood line. Simply beautiful!!
