ATTEMPTING ASTRAL TRAVEL

When in a completely relaxed state, focus carefully on where you want to go and what you want to achieve, and why.  Make sure you're in a safe and comfortable place where there will be no distractions. You'll also want to be physically protected from any negative experiences, and you can do this by calling upon a spirit guide or guardian to assist you in your astral journey. Project a positive message asking for the highest greatest good. Make your request clear and concise.

Close your eyes. Concentrate on a repetitive sound - a mantra, rhythmic drumming or chanting. You should be relaxed but mentally alert. Visualize a trap door some distance away and hurl yourself against it. The door represents the pineal door of the third eye. 

If you succeed in "escaping" you will be surrounded with golden light and, as long as you don't fall into a deep sleep, you can step out of your physical body and into the astral realm very easily. You will be aware that your mind is awake, but your body still sleeps.

Once you are on the astral plane, just let yourself go to wherever the spirit guides you. It will take some time to acclimatize yourself, so just accept what happens in your spiritual journey.

You will automatically return to your normal state when ready. Immediately note down your travel experiences in your dream diary.
